The darkest cake in the range, Alize Puffy Fine Ombre Batik 7259 runs from smoky graphite through to a near-solid black. It is the gradient for people who do not want a pastel nursery look - the result reads as a single moody neutral until the light catches the lighter end.

Each cake weighs 500 grams (17.64 ounces) and carries 79 yards (73 meters) of 100% micropolyester, worked in the finer Puffy loop rather than the chunky original. That finer loop is what lets the color shift look smooth instead of blocky.

Knit it with your hands only. The loops come ready-made, so you pull one through the next and a dense, matte fabric builds up fast. Ideal for a floor cushion, a dark throw or a men's scarf. Cool wash, dry flat.
