Pale silver fading down into deep charcoal, Alize Puffy Fine Ombre Batik 7243 is the softest of the gray gradients - the shift happens so gradually that a finished blanket looks airbrushed rather than striped. All the tonal change is spun into one continuous strand, so you never join a new color.

This is the giant format: a 500 gram (17.64 ounce) cake holding 79 yards (73 meters) of 100% micropolyester in Puffy Fine's smaller, suede-touch loops. One cake alone is enough for a baby blanket, a wide wrap or a generous cushion cover.

The loops are pre-formed, so it is knitted with bare hands - no needles, no hook, no gauge. Work steadily from one end and let the gradient reveal itself. Machine wash cool and dry flat to keep the loops even.
